Jimmie Foxx Field Kaufman Park

Foxx Field is in the heart of downtown Lakewood off Detroit Ave near Arthur in Kauffman Park. The full size field hosts 10u and over baseball games, adult softball, kickball and many special events. Fully lit with bathrooms and plenty of parking, Foxx Field is a gem in the center of Lakewood.

Named for Hall of Famer Jimmie Foxx who, after playing 20 seasons with the Red Sox, Philadelphia Athletics, Cubs and Phillies and managing and coaching a team in the All American Girls Professional Baseball League and at University of Miami, retired to Lakewood to raise his family. He worked for the Lakewood Recreation Department and his children graduated from Lakewood High School.
