Lakewood Community Baseball Association (LCBA) and the Lakewood High School Softball and Baseball Programs operate the Youth Baseball/Softball leagues through the Lakewood Rec Department.
Who should sign up?
This program is for ALL players at any skill who want to learn the game of Baseball/Softball. Starting with Tee Ball, kids will develop more skills and knowledge of the game each year.
Division Group Practices Start in April 2022 - Games start End of May through Mid July
Group Practices for all registered players and volunteer coaches will cover catch play fundamentals, defense, hitting, base running and pitching. Coaches will learn practice progressions and age specific goals.
Includes Jersey & Hat (white baseball pants purchased separately).

Age 4-6* Tot Tee Ball & Tee Ball Division - Resident $60/NR $80
Age 7-8* Rookie Coach Pitch Division - Resident $80/NR $100
Next step after Tee Ball! Coaches will pitch to their own batters. Boys and Girls will field all positions and runs and outs are counted. Both baseball and softball pitching motions will be used.

Age 9-10* Minors Baseball Division - Resident $80/NR $100
Coach Pitch with transition to Player Pitch, depending on formation of teams. Modified high school rules for development.

Age 11-12* Majors Baseball Division - Resident $80/NR $100
Modified High School rules, except for field dimensions.

Age 13-15* Excel Baseball Division - Resident $80/NR $100
Full high school rules on 90 foot bases. Will play in area leagues if not enough in-house teams.
Softball Instructional League - Resident $80/NR $100
Girls who do not want to play baseball games can sign up for softball and learn high school softball fundamentals. Players will learn to pitch using a fastpitch motion and play pick up games on teams of other girls their age.
