Tryouts for 2026 Lakewood Season
The LCBSA Lakewood Travel program is open to players interested in developing skills and playing games in a competitive setting. Teams play against neighboring communities through the Cuyahoga Valley Baseball Association, Ohio Prospects League, Emerald Necklace Fastpitch or Lorain County Hot Stove League from late April through Mid July. Practices begin indoors in winter and early spring prior to the season.
Registration costs are determined in September for players that roster on a team and cover equipment, league fees, tournament fees and full uniform. Read our FAQ for more information.
Tryouts will be conducted by the Lakewood High School Coaching Staff.
Players will run through the following stations for tryouts:
- Outfield
- Infield
- Pitching
- Hitting
Players must bring:
- Your own water bottle
- Ball hat, cleats, glove, your own bat, your own batting helmet
Baseball Tryout Sessions
Age is determined by the age of the player on April 30th 2026.
Saturday, Aug 2nd 2025
- 12:00 to 12:30 - 8U
- 12:30 to 1:00 - 9U and 10U
- 1:00 to 1:30 - 11U and 12U
- 1:30 to 2:00 - 13U and 14U
Sunday, Aug 3rd 2025
- 12:00 to 12:30 - 8U
- 12:30 to 1:00 - 9U and 10U
- 1:00 to 1:30 - 11U and 12U
- 1:30 to 2:00 - 13U and 14U
Alternate date will be available for tryouts TBD - Please register.
Softball Tryout Sessions
Softball tryouts are held at Lakewood High School North Lot Field at 14100 Franklin Blvd.
Wednesday, July 30th 2025
- 6pm to 7pm - Ages 9-11
- 7pm to 8pm - Ages 12-14
Thursday, July 31st 2025
- 6pm to 7pm - Ages 9-11
- 7pm to 8pm - Ages 12-14

We now use PlayMetrics for our player registration and communication. You will be directed to create a PlayMetrics Account and create a Player profile for your child/children and access the Tryout Registration. Once registered, you will receive notices and updates from the Director of Coaching for tryouts and other opportunities with Lakewood Community Baseball Softball Assoc.
